The Cafe Racer Concept frm Royal Enfield.. New!!

The cafe racer from Royal Enfield showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo: 2010.. It was an obvious showstopper. I still dont understand the rear placement. The guy who worked on the design is a good friend of mine.. will introduce him here someday. As of now, he is nowhere online sadly!

Check it out from all sides. Will it hit the market? The executives say 2012. And is a definite foreign market release like the classic was

Very retro look I must say , even I think it won't work in India , but Bikes like these are not meant for commercial success , they are for sheer pleasure and the front handlebar to the frame going in front shockers is looking more of a dirt bike stuff.

guys.. the “cafe racer” is a design theme in itself executed by several bike manufacturers in the past. namely Norton, Triumph and the Royal Enfield..

This is a look back at the days of glory in the past..and no it is not a production model yet. Judging by the response at the auto expo. It is not going into production in India for sure.. 2012 is the target for Europe/US frm what I heard

Personally I like it. It suits the bikes ‘Chinese style’ engine looks whilst retaining an old classic cafe racer style. The alloy fenders and tank are an obvious modification for RE, can’t think why they didn’t go this way years ago. The air filter box should be round not the old tea caddy style. Is this available in India I wonder?

The tank design looks very much like what ‘Bullet bose’ used to ride in yesteryears.
The design is definitely not for Indian roads… but the racing circuits?? Definitely yes..it’ll set the track on fire..

it looks like a clone of yamaha and RE .. didn’t like it much :(
